Slotcarsdirect was first born in 1994 under the name of Midland HO & Hobby Supplies. An introduction into HO 1/64th slot car racing by a good friend Simon Goodlip of Derby HO Racing Club, and I was hooked. The lack of cars and parts available in the UK shops made me search further afield and I started importing for myself. I then starting supplying other club members and the business grew from there.
In resent years I have teamed up with Viper Scale Racing of the USA to supply the best Super G based chassis on the market. Their range is second to none and expanding all the time. I am really grateful to all the staff at Viper for their excellent range and service.
In 2020 I have introduced a new chassis based on the Tomy AFX Turbo / SRT. I have been working with a great bunch of guys here in the UK putting this chassis together, and I have also got to thank Terry Flynn of Harden Creek Slot cars for his expertise in Chassis design and helping with getting this project from drawing board to actual testing. Without Terry's input in design, seeing problems and rectification work, I'm sure we would have been in a World of pain.
